Designer note :

Beginning on the 25th of January 2020, the Year of the Rat celebrates quick thinking, perspicacity and success. The Rat is the first of all zodiac animals. According to the myth, the Jade Emperor announced the order of the Zodiac calendar would be decided by the order in which animals would arrive to his party. The Rat tricked the Ox into giving him a ride. Then, just as they arrived at the finish line, The Rat jumped down and landed ahead of the Ox, arriving first.

I wanted to pay homage to the ingenious animal through their most recognizable physical attribute: their long tails.

I have tried to design a clever pair of earrings featuring a red tail spiraling around a central stud. The tail Halo is entirely set with rubies, the colour red symbolizing good fortune and joy, especially during the Chinese New Year while the central studs can be either rubies or white diamonds.

The Tail Halo is a transformable piece that ladies can transform with different studs and represents a subtle hint to the Chinese Holiday.
